All injections come with the risk of swelling, bruising and bleeding , but the nose injections are particularly more risky. The nose has a very small arterial blood supply especially if there has been previous surgical correction. If filler is injected into an artery, the blood supply can be blocked and cut off resulting in tissue death. There is also a risk of blockage of the artery that supply the eye which can result in blindness.
